Upon understanding Alice’s message, Bella discovers that Jacob will be responsible for protecting Renesmee during the great clash with the Volturi. Bella discovers that her gift is to create a shield that protects her from any vampire’s mental attacks, and can expand it according to her will and protect whoever she wants (her gift was already latent when human, a reason that prevented Edward from reading his mind or Jane to torture her). Mysteriously, Alice and Jasperflee from Forks, leaving a letter encrypted for Bella, in parallel Jacob gathers all the wolves of his tribe so they also help prove to the Volturi that Renesmee is not a child transformed. The Cullen decide to reunite several Carlisle- friendly vampires around the world to prove to the Italian clan that Renesmee is the biological daughter of a vampire with a human being and poses no danger to the secret of the immortals’ existence. Afterward, the Cullens are able to stay in Forks.Īlice has a vision where the Volturi decided to come after the Cullen clan to destroy them and especially to kill Renesmee. Charlie then visits the Cullen house and meets Renesmee, but doesn’t know he’s her biological grandfather. Jacob also tells Charlie he doesn’t live in the world he thinks he lives in, but says nothing about vampires.
Jacob, desperate not to lose Renesmee, visits Charlie and tell him that Bella is alive and well, but had to change in order to get better.
Carlisle comes to believe that they have to leave Forks, Washington to protect their identities – especially because of Charlie. Meanwhile, Bella’s father, Charlie, has been trying to contact the Cullens for updates on Bella’s health.
The rest of the Cullens and Jacob stay nearby, and when Jacob acts possessively towards Renesmee, Bella learns he has imprinted on her, making her furious until Jacob explains what imprinting is. Bella, who has just given birth, awakens from her human-to-vampire transformation and is introduced to her daughter Renesmee.
