However, if I unplug the interface, I can get Cakewalk to operate as normal through the onboard PC sound card. The meters on the individual tracks show activity, but again, no sound. What I get is the meter on the master Cakewalk channel is slammed to the red, all the time, and no audio is produced when I playback a project. I've changed every possible setting under "preferences" related to the interface and the drivers - no luck. I used the driver for that interface, and later ASIO4ALL, and cannot get it to cooperate with Cakewalk.
If it does, click that tab and UNcheck the box. 2-Open Device Manager>USB devices>double-click on each item and see if the popup window has a tab labelled 'Power Management'. The interface itself seems to work fine with Windows 10 (all the usual sounds come out of it, audio from videos, applications, etc.) However, the trouble starts when I open Cakewalk. 1-In Windows Sound Properties, set Windows to use the on-board sound card as the 'Default Playback Device' This allows Pro Tools to control the interface and sample rate. I now have a new Windows 10 PC, and just installed Cakewalk on it. So Id like to share my experience with you all.
So Ive been reading hundreds of reviews on interfaces,I read a lot of bad reviews on about all of them. Ive had it for some time and probably used it 3 times. I had it working with Cakewalk on a Windows 7 machine. I needed a new audio USB interface I only had a M-audio Duo. This is the old 1X2 interface, the silver box with the name on the front exactly as I called it in the title to this thread. Found 4 files for Windows 8.1, Windows 8.1 64-bit, Windows 8, Windows 8 64-bit, Windows 7, Windows 7 64-bit, Windows Vista, Windows Vista 64-bit, Windows XP, Mac OS 10.x, Mac OS X, Mac OS X 10.6.
